YouTube Videos to Your Blog

A lot of people have been asking me about adding YouTube videos to their blog, and how to go about doing it. Well this is a relatively easy thing to do. It may seem complicated because it involves an html code, but you never even have to know what that code says or means to get a video onto your blog. Just follow these steps and you’ll have the video up in no time.

Step One

Log onto YouTube and find the video you wish to add to your blog.

Step Two

Look for the small window describing the video like the one below.

Within this description you will see a box labeled “embed.” Copy this entire code. It should look something like this:

Step Three

Log into your blog account (it doesn’t matter if you use Blogger, Wordpress, LiveJournal, etc..) and open a blank post. Paste the embed video code into the blank post. Here’s what it will look like on a Blogger blog:

Step Four

Write whatever other text you want above or below the embed video code, or if you just want to post the video by itself, leave it how it is.

Step Five

Click publish and make your blog entry live for everyone to see. This is how it looks in Blogger:

*Extra Tip*

If you want to center the video on your blog (the default is often left), place a center tag at the beginning and end of the embed video code. Your code will look like this:
